Satbir Khanuja – President and Chief Executive Officer
Satbir Khanuja is responsible for leading the overall growth and managing day-to-day operations of DataSphere Technologies. He previously served as SecondSpace’s senior vice president of marketing and business development, responsible for the company’s partnership, traffic-building and revenue-generating initiatives. He also spent seven years at Amazon.com as a member of the executive team and was vice president of Amazon.com's Worldwide Traffic organization, responsible for driving billions of dollars in sales through free and paid traffic to all Amazon.com websites worldwide. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of Amazon.com’s IMDb.com and In-Theater businesses, where he created all business functions and built the division into one of the 50 most-trafficked websites in the world. Prior to Amazon.com, Satbir spent several years as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, where he led projects in several industries, including electronics and banking. He holds a Ph.D. in Ceramics Engineering from MIT and a B.Tech. degree from IIT in Bombay, India.
Tim O'Neil – Chief Financial Officer
Tim leads the finance, operations and administration organization at DataSphere and brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as CFO of two public companies. Prior to joining DataSphere, Tim served as chief financial officer of Loud Technologies (NASDAQ: LTEC), a world-recognized loudspeaker and audio equipment company with over $200M in revenues.
Prior to Loud, Tim was chief financial officer of Trendwest Resorts (NASDAQ:TWRI) which sold timeshare vacation ownership interests. At Trendwest, Tim served as a member of the executive team which grew the company to $600 million in revenues and 4,000 employees. Trendwest was acquired by Cendant Corporation in 2002, creating over a billion dollars in shareholder value. He holds a BS from John Carroll University and an MBA from the University of Detroit.
Delane Hewett – Chief Technology Officer
Delane leads the engineering and technology organization at DataSphere. He started with SecondSpace in the early days, providing the technical roadmap and direction for delivery of the software platform and the suite of SecondSpace sites. Delane brings over 20 years of experience to the company, having served as an architect and development lead at Microsoft for the past 13 years and at Boeing before that. At Microsoft, he launched highly scalable web sites and services, including Windows Marketplace®, MSN Shopping® and MSN HomeAdvisor®. Additional products include best-of breed developer tools like Microsoft Visual Studio® and Microsoft SQL Server’s® Repository. Delane has authored ten patents and published many technical papers. He holds an MS in Computer Science from George Washington University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
Gary Cowan – SVP Product and Marketing
Gary heads all product planning, marketing and business development activities at DataSphere. Prior to joining, he was at Amazon.com, where he was responsible for driving over $2 billion in revenue through search engine optimization, sponsored links and landing page optimization initiatives. Previously, Gary spent three years at Microsoft, where he served most recently as director of search for MSN and was also a group product manager in the Windows division. Before joining Microsoft, Gary spent four years with RealNetworks where he held various senior marketing positions. Earlier in his career, he held various management positions with CSR Sugar, Osborne Computers and LEK Consultancy. Gary holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Queensland University in Australia.
Mike May – SVP Sales Operations
Mike heads all sales operations at DataSphere, and brings extensive experience to the role. Before joining the company, he was with Qwest, where he was vice president of the $1 billion, 14 state Small Business Sales & Service organization. Mike turned around that business and grew revenue in very competitive markets by more than $133 million in 3 years. He improved the call centers, built new distribution channels, raised customer service levels, and his unit won the Gallup "Great Workplace" award. Prior to Qwest, Mike spent 14 years at MCI, where he held various sales and sales management positons, most recently as site director for MCI’s largest Small Business and Consumer Sales & Service call center. Mike holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Auburn University.
Tim Morones - VP Customer Operations
Tim is the VP of Customer Operations. He joined DataSphere in 2010 and led several key initiatives as the VP of Finance and Operations. In his current role, Tim oversees and manages all of DataSphere’s customer operations and he is also responsible for the general management of the LandWatch website, a division of DataSphere. Tim also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for ITEX Corporation (OTC: ITEX) and is currently the Audit Committee Chairman. Prior to joining DataSphere, Tim was a business unit manager for Getty Images worldwide unauthorized use program where he was successful in turning around the operations, and doubling revenues within a two-year time period. Tim has held various management positions with InfoSpace, Trendwest Resorts, Nextel International and McCaw Cellular. Tim holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from California State University, Sacramento.
